The sleek Xbox 360

Design of the original Xbox was a big, black tank console, then consider a slim Xbox 360 Ferrari-like cousin. 360 is all smooth curves and minimalist style, although in the flesh was not quite as small as one might think from seeing the photos. It's certainly smaller than the Xbox version 1, but it was far from the current size of the micro PlayStation 2 Slimline.

360 finished in a cream-like color - a strange decision on the part of the Microsoft considers most other home entertainment equipment these days tend to go for the silver, black or white as completed. That is to say, to 360 colors quite dangerous - it was not outstanding, but it will not jar with nothing in your living room setup at the same time. The design simplicity of the console is also high - the entire unit for free mess on all sides. Features front disc tray, two slots for memory cards, Xbox key fire and slot hinged hiding two USB 2.0 ports. It is also rare in the back - there is power slot, A / V slot, Ethernet port and another USB 2.0 port. 360 can be placed flat or standing on one side, similar to the PS2.

Controller console also been improved from the original style large version. Xbox 360's controller is slightly smaller than the Xbox 1 units, and generally feel more comfortable to hold. Especially wireless controller has a good, solid weight does not become tense even after extended play sessions. All the original controller buttons have been placed - there are four color-coded face buttons, two joysticks and D-pad. Start and Select buttons flank a glowing Xbox guide button in the middle of the controller. Guide has four buttons that give the green light to the gamer which number controller it. It can also be pressed during gameplay to open the Xbox 360 dashboard is much better (more below). Rounding off the list of buttons are two trigger buttons, left and right shoulder buttons and a small sync button (for wireless connections) on the upper side of the controller.

Perhaps only drawback is the 360 design with chunky power box. Nearly 360 high-alone and quite heavy, power box is something you'll want to keep from view.

Xbox design overhaul does not stop at the outside, however. Microsoft has completely change the look and feel of the Xbox Dashboard, the console's built-in operating system. Gone is the dark green X-rays such as the Xbox dashboard 1 - in its place is a smooth, clean menu system organized into four different vertical "knife".

As befits a more central role in the 360, Xbox Live get the knife himself. Xbox Live dashboard parts of the house of a gamer's Personal Profile (you create and edit your profile here as well), through Live Messages, Friends List, and the door to the online Xbox Live Marketplace.

Olympic knife is a place to store 360 records a user to run the game and well in offline. Look at the Games blade and you'll find a player achievements (record of goals achieved in the game, such as completing training in Call of Duty 2, or scored a goal in 50 kills Perfect Dark Zero), what games have been played, and every game that has been in downloading.

The Media blade is a place where all the multimedia capabilities console life - from the media, users can access music, photos or movies they may be stored on the hard drive 360. This is also where they can access the system software Media Center extender. Other media devices plugged into the 360 will also appear in the Media blade - plug in an iPod or camera, for example, and content for devices that will be displayed here.

Blade system is a place where all other options are saved 360. Console settings, for example, is where the user can change the look of the output from the console (such as 480p, 720p or 1080i). Other options include a family setting, the memory manager, network settings and more.
